AltitudeAlert offers advanced altitude management for pilots, featuring a pilot-designed alerting system and VNAV (Vertical Navigation) for precise altitude control. VNAV allows pilots to define how, when, and where they want to be at a specific altitude with customizable settings.

The ALT HOLD Mode is tailored for VFR pilots, requiring minimal setup, making it ideal for student pilots and those flying vintage, ultralight, or light sport aircraft with minimal instrumentation.

AltitudeAlert ensures pilots never miss an altitude assignment by providing customizable alerts before reaching and upon acquiring the set altitude. Spoken alert announcements are adjustable to suit individual preferences.

Additionally, the app offers features such as VNAV, alerting for oxygen use, instrument approach minimums alerting, and automatic ground reference alerting. For devices without a barometric sensor, GPS-based alerting is utilized.

A subscription is required to access AltitudeAlert, with monthly and yearly options available. All subscriptions come with a 1-month free trial and are priced at $1.49 per month or $12.99 per year USD.

System Requirements:

All iPads require Wifi + Cellular; external GPS required for Wifi-only iPads. Minimum hardware requirements are detailed for devices with and without the barometric sensor included in the app.

Note:

Internal GPS usage while running in the background may significantly impact battery life. Barometric pressure sensing may not function accurately in pressurized aircraft; in such cases, GPS altitude reference is recommended.
